Sag Harbor Cinema continued its “Projections” series on Sunday, March 23rd, from 4pm-5pm, with Hamptons Community Outreach, featuring the panel discussion “Supporting the Shinnecock: Home Repair and Community Empowerment with Hamptons Community Outreach.” There was a short film presentation by Hamptons Community Outreach that highlights their home repair program on the Shinnecock Indian Nation’s sovereign land.
Featured speakers include Marit Molin, LCSW, Founder and Executive Director of Hamptons Community Outreach; Denise “Weetahmoe” Silva-Dennis (Shinnecock/Hassanamisco-Nipmuc), artist, educator, and Hamptons Community Outreach Board Member; and Becky Genia, activist, musician, and Shinnecock Indian Tribal Member.
