KIDS AND FAMILIES MATINEES

 Weekends All Year Round

Sag Harbor Cinema’s year-round series of Kids and Families Matinees’ has become a beloved Saturday and Sunday ritual for audiences of all ages and has brought to the Cinema a demographic that had never entered its doors before- children. 

Carefully curated by SHC’s Founding Artistic Director Giulia D’Agnolo Vallan, the program includes classics and cartoons, of course, but also silents and some documentaries.  It is based on an expanded notion of “kids and family” – after all, in the earlier stages of cinema, most films were intended to be watched and enjoyed by everyone.
